Senior Research Executive / Research Manager

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and passionate researcher with a minimum of 3 years' market research experience to join our team as a Senior Research Executive or Research Manager.

As we look to expand, you will be joining an established team of research managers and executives and will be responsible for planning and coordinating large scale quant and integrated projects efficiently and effectively across multiple departments.

This role is fundamental to the future direction of Swift Research as we have recently become employee-owned and are embarking on a period of change and growth. Collaborating with our established team and adopting a creative and a proactive approach, you will help build on our historical success and shape our future.

You'll be working in a small, but fast-paced market research agency which prides itself on its family-feel, where staff work collaboratively across teams to produce high quality (often bespoke) solutions to challenging client requests.

The Company

Despite being a relatively small agency, we offer a wide range of research serving both national and international clients from a variety of sectors.

It's an exciting time for Swift, having become an employee-owned business in November 2023. This means going forwards the employees will be responsible for shaping the company's future and will benefit from its profits. Having spent the last 38 years as a family-owned business, we were keen to maintain the family-feel culture we have and by selling the business to the employees, it secures the future of the business and means we can continue as an independent research agency for generations to come.

With an online panel, an in-house call centre and our own on-site sensory research centre, we conduct projects via web, phone and face-to-face methodologies, sometimes creating bespoke solutions to combine all of these into one.

Swift is famous for its sensory research, we've seen huge growth coming from the laundry, personal care, household and air care sectors. However our work is varied and we conduct research studies on everything from automotive to the education sector. Our clients range from small clients looking for bespoke research solutions to blue-chip FMCG companies and international fragrance houses conducting large scale IHUTs, CLTs and online research throughout the UK and internationally. Swift is currently expanding the work it offers it's food and drink clients so experience in FMCG and food and drink specifically is preferred.

Although in some ways we are a traditional agency, having being in the business over 35 years, we are now embarking on a period of change and are looking to enhance our offerings externally.

What will you be doing?

Working in the research team to deliver projects to our clients who include global brands such as P&G, Reckitt, Ipsos, IFF and dsm-firmenich.

You will be responsible for project managing all parts of the research from start to finish. This includes liaising with the client to define the aims and parameters of the research, developing the data collection tools, collecting and analysing the data, and then producing a final debrief for the client.

As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for training and mentoring of more junior staff members. Sharing your knowledge and expertise and supporting them as they embark on their careers in research.

In addition, Research Managers will be involved in new business development and marketing, working to win new clients and take ownership of their accounts, building a partnership.
