Research / Account Manager

Swift Research are looking for a talented quantitative research manager to join their team. Our clients are big industry names across the fmcg consumer product development sectors, plus retail, automotive, finance and public sectors.

Growth of the quantitative side of the business has created an opening at Research Manager level to join a small team of dedicated researchers.


THE ROLE

This role will suit someone who loves being a hands on quant researcher. It is a varied and diverse role allowing you to build upon your project management experience, whilst further developing your skills in quantitative methodologies. Experience of qual research would be advantageous. As part of this small sized agency, you will be able to enjoy working throughout the whole research cycle.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Establishes, manages and develops client relationships
  • Provides added-value consultancy for clients
  • Oversees and takes the lead on projects to optimise quality and ensure excellence
  • Leads strategic thinking, ensuring quality of the project as well innovative solutions
  • Proactively looks to improve on client satisfaction
  • Conducts professional and authoritative presentations to clients
  • Proactively works to improve efficiencies on project management within the team
  • Takes responsibility for own targets
  • Develops, coaches and motivates staff within the team
  • Represents the Company at external events and within the wider industry
  • Contributes strongly to business development, client relationship development and ongoing account management
  • Challenges current ways of thinking and helps implement new, innovative ways.

THE PERSON

You will be highly skilled across a range of quantitative research methodologies and will have exceptional client handling and project management skills. You will be particularly strong when it comes to translating data into actionable results for your clients. You will thrive on taking ownership for winning & developing market research activity.

A team player who can support, coach and mentor researchers in the pursuit of research excellence by providing direction, guidance and sharing knowledge.

Your knowledge and business acumen will ensure that profitable relationships with clients thrive and that Swift's reputation for innovative full service agency research is enhanced.

You will:

  • Have degree level education
  • Possess excellent understanding and demonstrable experience of quantitative research; including advising on best approach, designing project plans, materials and paperwork, overseeing data collection, interpreting data and providing results, maintaining strong client relationships and recommending next steps
  • Demonstrate business development capability: winning new clients and growing client accounts
  • Have proven ability to lead client discussions/negotiations/meetings
  • Have a commercial and analytical mind-set
  • Be confident and sociable with the drive to work hard and deliver results

Agency experience would be advantageous.

Location & hours

  •   The role is located in Wetherby, West Yorkshire
  •   Full time post (37.5 hours per week; Mon-Fri) based in Wetherby. Part time hours will be considered.
